This gallery consists of photos taken on November 30, 2008, at Cannon Beach, Oregon. Thousands of California brown pelicans had gathered on the beach at Cannon Beach, Oregon, at the mouth of Elk Creek. The backlit shots give the impression of black and white images, but, in fact, they are all shot in color.
