Doug Gorsline > Smoke in the air from forest fires hundreds of miles away resulted in some fine sunrise and sunset conditions at Mount Rainier National Park in September 2008. In fact, the 'clouds' in the sky are actually the leading edge of the smoke moving northward. This sunset view is looking to the west down the Nisqually River Valley from the Henry M. Jackson Visitor Center at Paradise.
